Camille A. Brown & Dancers African Technique Master Class

Company members from Camille A. Brown & Dancers — the Bessie Award-winning, New York City-based dance company known for inventive multidisciplinary dance works exploring race, culture, and identity — will offer a beginning-level African dance technique master class for Duke dance students and Triangle community dancers. The master class will take place in Rm. 201 at the Rubenstein Arts Center, during Ava Vinesett’s regularly scheduled advanced African Dance Technique 1 course.

Camille A. Brown & Dancers will be in residence at Duke and in Durham throughout Duke Performances’ 2018/19 season. The company’s February 2019 residency will culminate in a pair of weekend performances of Brown’s work Mr. TOL E. RAncE at Duke’s Reynolds Industries Theater on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2.
